Objectives
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. describe the impacts of cCMV on the affected child, family, and systems in Arizona.
2. discuss efforts in Arizona for cCMV education in vulnerable populations and the healthcare profesionals who serve them.
3. discuss clinical best practices for newborn cCMV testing, audiologic monitoring, pediatric care, early intervention and education.
4. use new understandings and strategies to improve systems of care for cCMV in Arizona through culturally humble conversations about cCMV diagnosis, mangement, and treatment.
5. describe state and national legislation to improve risk reduction and treatment for children and families who are impacted by cCMV.
6. integrate information to improve patient outcomes for children born with cCMV and their families through strengthened partnerships.
